TODAY is Father’s Day! We would like to honor all of our fathers and special men at Somers with a Donuts for Dads and Dudes Reception in the AC before bible classes. Thank you Dads and Dudes for being a special part of our Somers Family!

SomerTime is a VBS style Bible class for kids ages 4yrs to 5th grade. We meet in the SomerTime room in the AC each Wednesday at 7pm. Use the graphic below to invite a friend.

KEEP IN PRAYER

Barbara Stafford (a former member that we have been praying for) is finally at MD Anderson awaiting her liver transplant. 

 

Beverly Baker requests prayers for her health as her tumor markers continue to rise. Further testing will resume on July 28th. 

 

Karen Brewer (a former member here at Somers) had a heart attack and underwent surgery last week. Her husband, Finis, thanks everyone for their continued prayers. 

 

Keep Ray Barber in your prayers. Ray and Karmen have been visiting for a while and Ray had a mild heart attack Monday. He has since gotten a stent and is home recovering.

Tammy Necessary requests prayers for her family, especially her dad, James Mayberry and her step mom, Margaret Mayberry as they deal with health issues.

 

We offer our sympathy to Tim and Rebecca Jorgensen and Mary on the passing of Tim’s brother, Eric, around 11:00 Wednesday of last week. Arrangements are for Monday, June 16th.

 

Wanda Baird took her daughter, Marie, to Baptist Hospital yesterday with chest pain. Please be in prayer for Wanda and her family. 

 

Please continue to be in prayer for those with continued health problems including: Lovell Davis, Joe Ellis, Gail Jenkins, Joel Gray, Gil Myatt, Doyle Prestridge, Orin & Ima Jean Robinson, & Sue Simmons.

Wednesdays

  • Tommy Kidd in Auditorium - Parables of the Bible

 

New Quarter Children’s Classes:

Sundays

  • Last Sunday was Promotion Sunday! If your child promoted to a new grade or had a birthday last quarter, then they may be in a different classroom now. Be sure to check with their teacher when you walk them to class. 

 

Wednesdays

  • Regular Classes: Birth - 3yrs and teenagers

  • SomerTime in AC: 4yrs - 5th Grade

 

There will be a baby shower for Braden and Rayna Zini TODAY from 1:30-3pm in the Fellowship Room. They are having a boy and are registered at Amazon.

Ladies Morning Bible Class will meet this Wednesday, June 11, at 10am for class with a potluck lunch to follow. Men are invited to attend the lunch.

Men’s Breakfast has been moved to June 12th at 6:30am.

Our annual SomerTime Kickoff will be THIS Wednesday, June 4th. Bring your lawn chairs and come ready to bounce and eat a hotdog dinner on the front lawn at 6pm. We will gather in the auditorium at 7pm for a devotional and a recognition of all Kindergarten and 5th grade graduates. Please join us for celebratory ice cream on the front lawn afterward. Remember, this is for the whole church. We hope everyone will come and bring a friend.
