Glenview Food Boxes: TODAY is the deadline to bring food for the Glenview Food Boxes, but you can still donate toward the gift cards, which families can use for perishable items. Contribute via cash, a check to Somers, or the app (select 'Glenview'). The final doxes will be packed and distributed this week. Thank you to all you have assisted so far in this effort.

SomersKids’ Lunch with Santa and Glenview Service Project is TODAY, December 14th. Join us in the AC immediately following services for lunch and photos with Santa followed by decorating the boxes for the Glenview Elementary food distribution project. 

Correction: Ladies Morning Bible Class will meet at 10am on Wednesday, Dec. 17, for a brief lesson and to prepare gift boxes for our shut-in community with a pot-luck lunch to follow. Men are invited to lunch.

 

Help Needed: If you are able and interested in volunteering to pressurewash the building, please speak with Jonathan Penrod.

 

Men’s Breakfast in January will be held on the 8th instead of the 1st. 

 

KEEP IN PRAYER

Please pray for Barbara Cloninger and her daughter, Susan Cloninger. Susan is recovering after surgery on Friday morning for cancer that had metastasized to her brain. She will begin radiation treatments soon.

 

Barbara Stafford will return to M. D Anderson Monday. She still awaits liver transplant, but is also in need of heart surgery.

 

David Clements’ brother, Larry, is scheduled for surgery in January for his renal cell carcinoma.

 

Joel Gray has been undergoing treatments for squamous cell carcinoma on his neck. He will follow up with scans in January.

 

Tammy Necessary’s father had successful pacemaker surgery Tuesday. Please pray for his recovery and peace of mind for both Chad and Tammy.

 

Tim Jorgensen is waiting to get the results from his MRI.

 

Please pray for those with continued health problems including: Lovell Davis, Gail Jenkins, Joel Gray, Gil & Sue Myatt, & Sue Simmons.
