WEEKLY NEWS & NOTES
Ladies Bible Class will have a potluck lunch after class this Wednesday, Nov. 13th. Men are welcome to attend the lunch.
The T412 Class will meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:15 to 6:45pm in the M2 classroom of the Activities Center. This class is for children ages 3 through 2nd grade. The T412 (1 Timothy 4:12) Class will focus on training children to serve in the church in a variety of service areas. If you have questions, contact Jonathan Penrod.
Ladies Bible Class delivers crocheted or knitted hats and blankets for patients at Arkansas Children’s Hospital each November in memory of Lawson Phillips and Winsella Busbea, but it is a year-round project. If you have hats or blankets to donate, those are due by November 13th. Please contact Linetta McDonald if you have any questions.
The Living with Loss seminar on dealing with grief is coming up next weekend, November 15-17th, at the Palm Street church of Christ in Lonoke. This is the church where Leon Barnes preaches. A sheet with all the detailed information is posted on the bulletin board outside the church office.
Glenview Elementary Christmas Boxes: It’s time to start gathering food items for the Glenview Elementary Christmas Boxes, which will each contain a number of food items to help families with food needs during the Christmas holidays. You can find that list on our Facebook Exchange page and on the table in the back of the auditorium. We are going to “Pile the Pulpit”, so starting next week, bring your items to the right side of the stage or drop them off in the church office. If you would like to donate money toward food or Walmart gift cards, you can do so by cash or check (memo Glenview) or conveniently any time through the Somers app and website by selecting “Glenview” in the drop down menu, or text CHRISTMAS to (833)758-2910.
