Trunk-or-Treat & Chili Cook-Off: Join us on Saturday, October 31st, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM on the front lawn for an evening of fellowship! Bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax while enjoying a complimentary meal of hot dogs and chili. Festivities include games and trunk-or-treating in the rear parking lot. Arrive early if you wish to enter your favorite recipe in the chili cook-off, and start planning your trunk setup for a chance to win this year's trunk decorating contest! Family-friendly costumes are encouraged for everyone. To volunteer, check the SignUpGenius link sent via email, text message, or on the Somers Family Exchange Facebook group.
Bulletin Boards: If you are interested in decorating a bulletin board for the children’s hallway or classrooms, please contact Caroline Prestridge. We have at least one bulletin board that needs immediate attention. This is for teens and adults at any experience level.
2027 Budget Requests: The Eldership is soliciting budget requests for the 2027 fiscal year. Please submit all budget requests in writing to Adam Prestridge, Steve Mosley, or one of the elders by Sunday, November 1st.
KEEP IN PRAYER
David Stafford (husband of Barbara) has been diagnosed with cancer in his small intestine and potentially his liver. He is scheduled for additional scans on October 15. Additionally, Barbara will be traveling to Houston from November 11–13 for follow-up doctor appointments regarding heart concerns. Please lift up the entire Stafford family in prayer during this time.
Judy DeMoss is currently dealing with multiple health issues. She can not receive visits or talk on the phone at this time as it brings on severe coughing flares.
Robinson, son of Braden and Chloë Quesinberry, remains at Children’s Hospital. The family asks that you keep them in your prayers.
Tim Jorgensen is recovering at home.
Please pray for those with continued health problems including: Leslie Gann, Thelma Hall, James Mayberry, Travis Haggard, Gary Robinson, Barbara Stafford, Lovell Davis, Gail Jenkins, Joel Gray, Gil & Sue Myatt, & Sue Simmons. These friends could always use a card, phone call, or visit.
