WEEKLY NEWS & NOTES

The parking lot is undergoing long-needed repairs and resurfacing. This is about a two week process and is not supposed to interfere with scheduled meeting times. However, if you come to the building during the week, you may find portions obstructed by equipment and fresh work. We will keep the church informed on progress and changes.

SomersKids’ Cards & Cars (September 20): All SomersKids and their families are invited to join us in the AC following services today, Sunday, September 20th from about noon to 2pm for a potluck lunch. Afterwards, children can enjoy free play time in the parking lot (weather permitting), followed by writing encouragement cards to our sick and homebound church members. Families are asked to bring a dish or two to share, along with bikes, trikes, or other ride-on toys. Please be sure to bring helmets. Contact Caroline Prestridge with questions.

Meeting Reminder: There will be an elders-deacons meeting today, Sunday, September 20th, in the AC starting at 2:30pm.

 

Ladies Chat will meet this Friday, September 25th from 10 to noon in the Fellowship Room.

The Somers annual camping trip is scheduled for October 23-25 at Maumelle Park. Please see Adam Prestridge if you are interested.

KEEP IN PRAYER

Robinson, infant son of Braden and Chloë Quesinberry, remains at Children’s Hospital. The family asks that you keep them in your prayers.

We extend our condolences to the Cole family in the passing of McKenzie’s grandmother, Nancy. Please keep the entire family in your prayers.

Rebecca Jorgensen is scheduled for cataract surgery tomorrow, Monday, September 21st.

Tim Jorgensen is scheduled for surgery to remove a tumor and reinforce bone on Monday, Oct. 5th. Please keep the Jorgensen family in your prayers.

Please pray for those with continued health problems including: Leslie Gann, Thelma Hall, Tim Jorgensen, James Mayberry, Travis Haggard, Gary Robinson, Barbara Stafford, Lovell Davis, Gail Jenkins, Joel Gray, Gil & Sue Myatt, & Sue Simmons.  These friends could always use a card, phone call, or visit.
